Walking in the Lake District - Helvellyn

We have done lots of walking in the Lake District.

This is the view from the top of Helvellyn - it was minus 11 degrees @ the top

we reached the summit via "Striding edge" quite challenging in parts but great fun

this was the first view we got of "Striding edge"

this is striding edge looking back down

there are some lovely views on the way up

View looking back down to Red tarn

We came down through the valley along side a lovely stream.

This is a great walk but make sure you go prepared - don't be fooled by the sunshine at the start as it can change very quickly
