We stayed at http://www.parkinn.com/hotel-prague
Highly recommended, we upgraded to an executive room that had a lovely balcony over looking the city. This was the view from the room
Arrived back after our first days exploring to find a bottle of complimentary fizz in our room to celebrate our anniversary
The hotel is about a 20 min walk from the centre along the river. Some nice little bars along the way
We came across some fantastic street art
Great band on Charles Bridge
On our second morning we walked down onto the river and there was a lovely farmers market selling fresh veg, cider, fish, flowers and lots more.
This band were entertaining everyone
After the market we walked up to http://www.praha-vysehrad.cz/lang/l2
A gorgeous church up on the hill surrounded by lovely gardens
On the way back down we had lunch in a lovely garden terrace http://www.usemika.cz/en/restaurant/about-the-restaurant/
On our last day we walked down the other side of the river towards Prague castle
We passed some lovely buildings
We found a lovely walk up through a park round to the castle
You need a good day to explore the castle so we are going to go back next time. We went up the clock tower 289 steps and a great view
We were lucky enough to see the changing of the guards
We had a birds eye view from the top of the tower
On the Saturday night we attended the Speedway GP @ the Marketa Stadium
Great Britain's Tai Woffinden won we had a great night
We had some lovely food while we were in Prague - but this restaurant was first class so we went there twice http://www.ukroka.cz/ was only a 5 min walk from our hotel. The food and service was some of the best we have ever had
All in all we had a fantastic time and we look forward to visiting Prague again soon
Until the next time
x
