My first ski trip
My husband and I both did ski school each morning. I was level 1 and Gary was level 4.
Would highly recommend "New Generation Ski School" http://www.skinewgen.com/
We booked our accommodation through Ski Olympic https://www.skiolympic.com and stayed in the "Gold" chalet Monique
The chalet was nice but the bedrooms were small and not as "plush" as we were expecting.
The afternoon tea was nice and evening meals were included with a free bar 4.30pm to 9.30pm
The hot tub was a nice touch at the end of a hard days skiing
We both really enjoyed our ski school
We had lunch in a lovely restaurant at the bottom of the slopes in 1650 called Fire & Ice and the hotel attached to it looks lovely http://www.portetta.com/ might look at staying there sometime
The views up the mountains were fantastic
I skied down the slope above it was a "blue"
One of the runs was called "Indians" and there was a Teepee half way down where you could toast marshmallows
On our last day we got the free bus up to the resort @ 1850 and the green runs were really good.
Jardin Alpin is a lovely run through pine trees
Verdons was another great run
Bellecote was a lovely wide run at the top, levelling off between trees further down, great for practising your turns as a beginner.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday - I won a price @ the chalet for most improved
The ski clothes were really reasonably priced in the resort too - I got a new coat for next season
Roll on our next trip can't wait
